Friends, The Television Sitcom, Debuted On This Day In 1994

September 22

If this was 1994, Friends would have just made its debut on NBC. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the sitcom was about six young adults who lived in the same apartment complex in NYC. Propelling the cast to stardom, Friends aired for 10 seasons before the actors/actresses went on to earn more success in Hollywood. All 10 seasons found their way in the top 10 for television season ratings. The finale aired on May 6, 2004 with more than 50 million viewers tuned in, making it one of the most popular TV finales in history. Friends was nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy Awards and won the Outstanding Comedy Series in 2002.
